Sandgate Kids Early Education

Sandgate, Queensland

Sandgate Kids Early Education approached Bespoke Playgrounds
to enhance their outdoor play spaces across their three different centres. Working closely with the staff and committee, the main objectives of the upgrades were to improve physical and imaginative play, while also prioritising safety and working within the existing site constraints. The upgrades were also designed to encourage children to explore and interact with the their natural surroundings.

The standout features of the centres are our bespoke timber play units, designed with a coastal/oceanic theme to reflect the Sandgate area. Each play unit offers plenty of climbing activities to encourage gross motor development, shop fronts and activity panels for social and imaginative play, and our Interchangeable units which allow equipment to be easily swapped out to create new and engaging play experiences with the same play unit.

Each centre required unique designs to make the most of their spaces, including the integration of bike and sensory paths, in-ground water courses, custom swing sets, and much more. Garden beds were also thoughtfully distributed throughout the kindergarten playgrounds to enhance the visual appeal and encourage the children to learn through interacting with their natural surroundings.
