What are some of the benefits of having a mud kitchen?

Mud kitchens are a great learning feature that promotes all types of learning including sensory, creative and exploratory play. Children learn to take turns, problem solve with others and develop their language skills whilst explaining what they are making.  It also helps them with physical skills such as learning to stir, mix, carry and pour water. Use fine motor skills such as holding tongs, forks and spoons.  Children also learn to count, measure water in cups and weigh materials.  Mud kitchens may be a little messy but they are full of magic.

Timber Water Course

Bespoke Playgrounds can design a water course to suit your needs. We can design it at a height that suits the age range of the children and as long as you require. Children enjoy pumping the water from the pump, and watch the water as it makes it’s way down the water course. This can then lead to mud pit, sand pit or drain.

To add colour and depth, why not add some colourful screen panels and watch the lighting change throughout the day.

TeePee

A teepee or Tipi was traditionally a tent made from animal skins on poles. Historically they originated in North America and Canada and used by local indigenous tribes. The teepees were durable and provided lots of warmth during the winter months. cool during the summer and dry during the rainy seasons.

Bespoke Playgrounds can design and install a teepee style timber structure for children to get away from it all. By providing a teepee, children will have their own little zone in the world where learning outcomes happen. It is a space for them to find quiet, as well as facilities that encourage imaginative and creative play. It is a blank canvas on the inside, so children can make it their own each day with colourful cushions and throws.
