TeePee

A teepee or Tipi was traditionally a tent made from animal skins on poles. Historically they originated in North America and Canada and used by local indigenous tribes. The teepees were durable and provided lots of warmth during the winter months. cool during the summer and dry during the rainy seasons.

Bespoke Playgrounds can design and install a teepee style timber structure for children to get away from it all. By providing a teepee, children will have their own little zone in the world where learning outcomes happen. It is a space for them to find quiet, as well as facilities that encourage imaginative and creative play. It is a blank canvas on the inside, so children can make it their own each day with colourful cushions and throws.

Why incorporate a TeePee?

When children play together they quickly learn to communicate, share and collaborate with each other.  And with this they learn to empathise with others which are skills that are essential as grow older.

RELATED NATURE PLAY

Water Course

Water courses are a wonderful addition to any nature play area. Outdoor spaces for children is less about looking at trees and plants, but rather it includes natural features such as sand, soil, mud, grass, rocks and water. Children must be able to actively explore and experience different types of natural environments. It’s about allowing children to touch and play with the natural environment in their everyday play. And yes, that sometimes means getting wet and dirty.

Timber Water Course

Bespoke Playgrounds can design a water course to suit your needs. We can design it at a height that suits the age range of the children and as long as you require. Children enjoy pumping the water from the pump, and watch the water as it makes it’s way down the water course. This can then lead to mud pit, sand pit or drain.

To add colour and depth, why not add some colourful screen panels and watch the lighting change throughout the day.
