Happy Valley Playground

Caloundra, Queensland

The Sunshine Coast Council engaged with it’s community to see what they wanted in a new playground in Happy Valley.  One idea was to use building the playground in the shape of the Old Caloundra Lighthouse.  We took that idea and ran with it, building a 2 story lighthouse with a red roof, a connecting bridge to a light house keeper’s cottage.  Our local artist, Fred Wind painted some wonderful art panels which truly made the playground bespoke to Caloundra.  We also added some custom designed activity panels and sand table.  It is a popular playground used by the locals of Bulcock Beach as well as tourists that visit.
