Norman Buchan Park
Bardon, Queensland
The Brisbane City Council approached us to see if we could design and install a timber playground in a quiet section of Norman Buchan Park.
As there is already a larger playground in the park, this playground was to be suitable for juniors, and although small, must have lots of play value. The beautiful trees surrounding the area inspired us to keep the playground as natural as possible but adding pops of colour here and there. We drew inspiration from the Lorikeet bird and asked our local artist to paint an artwork to add to the play unit. We are pleased with the result as the playground complements the beautiful trees that surrounds it.
