Spicers Hidden Vale

Just under an hours drive from Brisbane, Spicers Hidden Vale is one of Queensland’s most beautiful retreats. In 2018 the ceiling of the 100-year-old homestead caught ablaze and sadly the building burnt to the ground. The rebuilding of the beautiful Homestead began and was completed in February 2020.

The new Homestead pays homage to the history of its
colourful past while incorporating modern luxurious finishings that Spicers Retreats are renowned for.

When we got a call Spicers Hidden Vale we knew we wanted to design a playground that would complement the natural setting that it was in.  When we saw the location we were drawn to the tree and wanted to incorporate it into the playground.   Using timber logs as edging and adding touches of bespoke activities throughout, the end result makes the time we spent in the design phase worth every minute.

We also have to say a big thank you to everyone at Spicers for treating our carpenters so well.  They were completely spoilt and didn’t want to leave!!
