Does your Playground need an inspection?
Playground inspections are an important part of playground ownership. Every playground needs regular inspection to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant codes and regulations. We check for:
- tripping hazards
- risk of entrapment such as head or finger
- protrusions and projections that may entangle clothing
- safety of ladders, stairways and ramps
- swing hardware and height
- railing safety and suitability
- change to compliance – standards change regularly so what was compliant a year ago may not be the case today.
Playground inspections in the greater Brisbane area
Every playground owner should have a documented playground inspection schedule in place that allows for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly playground inspections. Daily and weekly playground inspections generally involve a walkthrough of the area and visual scan to ensure no part of the playground has been compromised. Monthly and yearly playground inspections are more rigorous and give consideration to wear and tear as well as identifying current and future risks.
Bespoke Playgrounds provides playground inspections to clients in the greater Brisbane area, including on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and Toowoomba. Our clients include local councils and governments, as well as schools, kindergartens and child care centres. They all have one thing in common. They seek to effectively manage their risks and ensure the safety of the people who use their playgrounds.
Our certified inspector is qualified to inspect playgrounds of any type of construction. We can prepare an inspection schedule that suits your needs, and support you with a program of proactive maintenance, if required. All playground inspections are carried out in accordance with Australian Standards and industry best practice. We pride ourselves on keeping up-to-date with these changing requirements.
Following the inspection, we report on areas of non-compliance and potential hazards, as well as any design or environmental concerns. We also make recommendations on how to rectify any non-compliance and make necessary repairs.
